Lela Hillhouse was the daughter of James David "Dave" and Clarinda Elizabeth Rebecca "Clara" [Stark] Hillhouse. One of ten children born to this couple. She married Harold Howard "Harry" Mead. Spending most of their life in and around Branson, MO. I think Harry passed away in 1974 in Goodman, McDonald, MO. Although I visited him in the nursing home where he was spending his last days I am not sure of where he was finally laid to rest. I had always thought it would be in the cemetery with Lela. The cemetery records are not available for her as a funeral home that housed those records burned. The best that can be done now to re-create who is buried in this Branson Cemetery if death cert. and if there is not any monument. There was also a few vandalisms that has happened over the years and some of the stones were damaged beyond recognizing the names. Death cert. has been known to contain errors. Families that informed changed their minds. Then there is sometimes re-interrements. To my knowledge this has not happened in the case of Lela.
