David W. Russell, 39, of Bloomfield Route 3 died at 6:30 a.m. Oct. 7, 1986 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
He was born Feb. 8, 1947 in Ottumwa to William S. and Jean Sellers Russell. A resident of the Ottumwa area all his life, he had been employed at John Deere Ottumwa Works for 19 years. He married Linda K. Jones March 2, 1974, in Ottumwa.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Debb Roberts and Becky Sloan of Eldon; a son Randy Russell of Eldon; a stepson Chris Sundquist of rural Bloomfield; a grandson; his mother, Jean Russell of Ottumwa; and two sisters, Bev Ream of Paxton, Ill., and Annie Leinhauser of Agency.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. Neil Guy of First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8:30 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to the YWCA or the donor's choice.
