John A. Reiman was born November 27, 1900 in Jackson County, the son of George and Mae Whitson Reiman. Surviving siblings include Mrs. Vesta Lilly and Mrs. Aldena Piquard, both of Hurst; Mrs. Nora Richardson of Carterville; Mrs. Goldie Robinson of Herrin; Clarence of Carbondale; Edwin of DeSoto; and Alfred and Ervin, both of Murphysboro.
He married the former Flora Elston on June 17, 1925 in Jonesboro. She survives.
Mr. Reiman was a retired journeyman mechanic at Vogler Motor Co., Carbondale and a member of the mechanics union. He died at the age of 66 at his home in Hurst.
