Bernard Thurmond Redmond was born April 16, 1950, in Bronx, New York. He was the first child of six children born to Willie and Juanita Thurmond Redmond.
Bernard attended Belmont High School and graduated in June of 1968. He attended Trade Tech College and went to work for Albert C. Martin and Associates as an architectural engineer. He was later recruited by TRW, Inc., Space and Defense Sector.
Bernard accepted Christ at an early age. He was devoted to encouraging and inspiring all those around him. He was a very loving person who always catered to the needs of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bernard departed this life on May 21, 1991. Affectionately known as "Bunny", "Bernie" and "Uncle Nard", he leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Juanita and stepfather, Wade Marshall; one brother, Dyke Harold Redmond; four sisters, Debra L. Perry, M. Denyce Parker, Sheila Redmond Dee, and Rochelle M. Devine.
Special family friend, Kenneth Cooper; one sister-in-law, Doniece Redmond; four brothers-in-law, Jack W. Perry, Gerald W. Parker, Willie Dee, and Richard Devine; and the little ones he loved to spoil: four nephews, Rick, Richie, Jack and Gerald; seven nieces, Shenita, Danyelle, Kiana, Kyndall, Raelynn, Dominique and Rianna.
He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Friends of the family. Professional services entrusted to Woods-Valentine Mortuary, 1455 North Fair Oaks Avenue, Pasadena, California.
