Michael W. Donatelli, age 45, of Indiana, PA, died Sunday, February 10, 2013 as a result of injuries incurred in a helicopter crash near Los Angeles, CA.

He was born in 1967 in Pittsburgh, to William A. and Mary Ann Tyson Donatelli.

Michael was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church, Indiana, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the YMCA, the Special Forces Assoc, and the 75th Ranger Regiment Assoc. He was a Master Sgt retired and spent 23 years in the US Army Green Beret/Army Ranger special forces operation. A highly decorated combat soldier his highest decoration being the Legion of Merit Military Award.

Michael is survived by his wife Grisel "GG" Donatelli, Indiana; five children,Anthony, Amanda, Sofia, Domenic; one granddaughter, Nicole; his parents of Indiana; one brother and one sister, Anthony Donatelli and wife Alicia, Indiana; Anna Marie Donatelli, Pittsburgh; two nieces and one nephew, Bella, Angelina, and Juliano; and his maternal grandmother, Marie Mapes, Winnetka, CA.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Anthony and Anna Donatelli, and his maternal grandparents William Tyson and Marie Tyson Mapes.

Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 A.M. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux R.C. Church, Indiana, with the Rev. Fr. William Kiel the celebrant. Interment will be made in the St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana.

Graveside military honors will be provided by the VFW Post #1989.
