DIGHTON — Mrs. Etta M. Estes, 61, Dighton,
died Thursday evening at St. Catherine
Hospital, Garden City.
Born Sept. 10, 1914 at Pawnee Rock, she
was married to Frank Grunwald in June,
1936 at Albert. He died in November,
1940. She was married to Danks Estes in
May 1942. They lived in Dighton since 1942.
Mrs. Estes was a member of First Christian
Church, Dighton.
Survivors include the widower; a son,
Jay Grunwald, Mount Vernon, Mo.; two
daughters, Mrs. Merle (Janis) Foos,
Dighton, Mrs. Duane (Mary Ann) McClure,
Scott City; two sisters, Mrs. Hilda
Petersen, Mrs. Bertha Hanken, both of
Larned; and five grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the
church, the Rev. Joe Tempfer officiating.
Burial will be in Dighton Memorial
Cemetery. Family suggests memorials to
long-term care unit at Lane County Hospital
in care of Niles-Zenor Funeral Home, Dighton..
