MRS. ANNA FASEL DEAD OF PARALYSIS
MRS. ANNA MARY FASEL, widow of MATHEWS FASEL, died at the home of her daughter, MRS. W.E. ANDERSON, 914 Leith street, Monday afternoon following a third stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Fasel sustained the first stroke about 14 years ago, the second stroke five weeks ago and the third stroke last Sunday which resulted in her death within a few hours.
Mrs. Fasel was born in Germany July 11, 1839, and came to the United States 50 years ago, her husband having come to this country two years before, and located in Grand Rapids, Mich., where they resided for about 13 years, moving from there to [Grand] Traverse county where Mrs. Fasel lived until two years ago, when she came to Flint to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Anderson. Mr. Fasel died about eight years ago. She was married to Mathews Fasel in Germany 54 years ago. She was a member of All Saints' church.
She leaves six children, JOSEPH FASEL of [Grand] Traverse county; MRS. W.E. ANDERSON of Flint; WILLIAM FASEL, MRS. JOHN MITCHEL, MRS. P. SNYDER, all of [Grand] Traverse county; THEODORE FASEL of Traverse City; one brother, JOSEPH STEINBACH of [Grand] Traverse county; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body will be taken to Kingsley, Mich., for burial.
