Ernest Anderson Dies; Retired GE Supervisor

Ernest Anderson, 87, of 445 Arthur St. died yesterday in the Hallmark Nursing Home after a long illness.

Born in New York, Mr. Anderson had lived in Schenectady for the past 65 years. He retired in 1952 from General Electric, where he was a supervisor in induction motors for 46 years.

He was a member of the GE Quarter-Century Club, the Schenectady Senior Citizens, and a 50-year member of Reliance Lodge, IOOF.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucia Prior Anderson; a stepson, George Prior of Vacaville, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Emily Bernard and Mrs. Jennie Kelly, both of Kingston, and a brother, Edward Anderson of Kingston.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Bond Funeral Home, the Rev. Martin Overholser officiating. The funeral home will be open after 7 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Schenectady Memorial Park.
