William "Randy" Dalton, age 63, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at his residence. Born on November 22, 1949 in Danville, Virginia, he was the son of Adolphus W. and Annie Laura (Oakes) Dalton. He completed his apprenticeship to become an electrician through the IBEW Local #481. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He married Donna Wilson on March 11, 1972 in Indianapolis.
Randy worked for ERMCO in Indianapolis as an electrician for over 25 years before retiring in 2009. He was a member of the IBEW Local #481 and the VFW Fort Harrison Post #7119 and enjoyed fishing.
Surviving him are his wife, Donna Dalton of New Palestine; children, Tiffany (Charlie) Steward of Greenfield, Shanna Dalton of New Palestine, Cody (Laura) Dalton of Indianapolis; siblings, Ronald Dalton of Greenwood, Darlene (Gerald) Lamb and Tammy (Mike) Grimes both of Indianapolis; and 3 grandchildren, Noah, Tanner, and Sawyer Dalton. Preceding him in death were his parents, Adolphus and Annie Dalton.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. also at the mortuary. Pastor Paul Enyart will be officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
