Lawrence "Larry" A Melcher, 64, passed away Saturday, February 8th 2003, a resident of El Paso for 25 years. He retired as a Master Sergeant after 22 years of service with the U.S. Army, served in Vietnam and was in with the CID for 17 years and also worked with NCH Promotional services for 15 years. Larry was preceded in death by his son, Joachim "Larry" Melcher and is survived by his wife of 39 years Beate Melcher; Children Michael and his wife Denise Melcher of Midland, TX; Daughter Sonjia and her husband Justin. Opa's grandchildren, Megan A. Melcher, Brandon J, and Chance T; 3 brothers 2 sisters in law, Ruth York of El Paso and Hildegard Schneider of Germany. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 11th at 6 p.m to 8p.m. In the funeral home. Funeral service will be 2:00p.m Wednesday February 12th in Lastor -Maxon & Futrell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
