Dorothy Marie Amerine, 90, passed away Thursday February 7, 2013 at Lakepoint
Nursing and Rehabilitation. Visitation with family will be 9-10:30 Saturday February 16 at
Carlson Funeral Home; graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday February 16 at
Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas.
Dorothy was born December 7, 1922 in Eureka, Kansas the daughter of Walter and
Mildred (Campbell) Dimick. Dorothy was united in marriage to Wesley D. Amerine on
November 2, 1941 in Eureka, Kansas. She has lived in El Dorado since 1991. She was a
member of the First Christian Church. She also was a member of the Church Circle, the
Knife and Fork Club, Life Enrichment at the College and Christian Women's Fellowship.
Dorothy was a social butterfly, the life of the party.
Survivors include grandchildren Denise Amerine of Kansas City, Missouri, Jeffery and wife
Christy Amerine of Coffeyville, Kansas; great grandchildren David Wilcher and Savannah
Amerine; brother Raymond and wife Louise Dimick of Towanda and sister Lucille Miles of
El Dorado. She was preceded in death by parents, husband Wesley one son David
Amerine and one brother Floyd Dimick.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church.=
