Ellington Man Dies of Injuries Suffered in Fall
Ellington—Charles S. Anderson, 73, of Ellington died at the W.C.A. Hospital, Jamestown, on Sunday at 5:30 P. M., as the result of injuries suffered when he fell from the roof of a barn at the Claude Torey farm near here on June 26. He is survived by three sons, Edward Anderson of Little Valley, Gifford Anderson of Little Valley and Harvey Anderson of Buffalo; a stepson, Erwin Mead of Wellsville, N. Y., and a brother, Arthur Anderson of Ellington.
Mr. Anderson, a lifelong resident here, was a member of a party which volunteered to replace the roof of a barn on the Claude Torey farm near Ellington after it had been blown off by a windstorm and while thus engaged fell to the floor when a scaffold broke, suffering injuries to his head, chest and back.
The remains are at the Mattison Funeral Home, Kennedy, and will be taken to the Ellington Methodist Church Wednesday noon, funeral services to be held there Wednesday at 2 P. M.
