End Comes Half Hour After Death of Brother, W. E. Overstreet
Mrs. Carrie Overstreet; Booth, 60 years old, wife of E. G. Booth, died at 11 o'clock Monday morning at her home on Federal Highway 60, west of Owensboro, thirty minutes after the death of her brother, William E. Overstreet, who died at the Owensboro City hospital. Mrs. Booth had been in ill health for sometime.She is survived by two sons, Sam Watkins Booth, Owensboro, and Henry Overstreet Booth, Nashville, Tenn., and a daughter, Mrs. Robert Edward Field, Lexington, and five grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Richard Morris, of Chicago, also survives. Mrs. Booth was a daughter of the late Senator H. G. Overstreet, and Mollie Clark Overstreet. She was born In the Rome section of Daviess county, April 21, 1873. Mrs. Booth was a member of the D. A. R. and a devout member of St. Stephen's Catholic church.
The funeral of Mrs. Booth will be conducted at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning from St. Stephen's Catholic church by the Rev. Richard Maloney, pastor. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard O'Bryan. Joseph Mischel, Thomas Payne, William O'Bryan, Herman Head and J. Bruce Hayden.
