Avis S. Blitch, of Archer, died Saturday at Alachua County General Hospital following an extended illness. She was 80.
Mrs. Blitch was born in Lafayette County and moved to Archer in 1939. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian church in Archer. Survivors include her daughter, Martha Skinner of Archer, Donald A. Blitch, of Gainesville, Dan Blitch of Maggie Valley, N. C. and Royce Blitch of Archer; two brothers, Vassar Sapp of Archer and T. J. Sapp of Gainesville; four sisters, Dorothy Maudling and Mattie Stevens, both of Williston, Sadie Crenshaw of Ocala, and Laurie Stubbs of Utica, Miss; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
