She was born on March 4, 1935 in Palmyra, MO, the daughter of Rector and Dallas (Jacobs) Heimer. She married Roger L. Ringering on December 9, 1983 in Joplin, MO. He survives.
Mary Jo was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Wood River. She enjoyed fishing, was an avid golfer and past president of the Ladies Golf League in Point Royale, MO.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Kelly Donahoo in Independence, MO; her step children and their spouses, Robert and Julie Ringering of Bethalto and Janet and Greg Shewmake of Wood River of Wood River; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Fern and Dick Heitholt of Yorkville, IL and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jerry Heimer and a sister, Wanda Norton.
Burial was at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
