Mrs. Mathes Buncher died at St. Anthony's hospital at 11:15 this morning after an operation. She had been ill for a period of two months and had been at the hospital three weeks. Mrs. Buncher was 34 years of age. Her maiden name was Christina Picklum and she was born in Davenport. She came to this city upon her marriage to Mr. Buncher in 1889, and their home is at 600 1/2 Sixth avenue. Two daughters survive with the sorrowing husband. They are Mildred, aged 14, and Alice, aged 9. The parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Picklum, who reside in
Davenport, also survive, as do two sisters, Mrs. Gus Toetch, of Chicago, and Mrs. Richard Miller, of Davenport, and one brother, Frank Picklum, of Davenport. Mrs. Buncher was a member of Fay Hawes camp, R. N. A. Arrangements for the funeral will be announced later.
