Suggested edit: Mrs. Viola Williams, past president of the Rebekah State assembly, I. O. O. F., wife of Eban Williams of Canon City and sister-in-law of Joseph P. Williams of Salida, died Sunday in Canon City of cancer. The funeral was held Tuesday from the Presbyterian church in that city. At the request of Mrs. Williams, three past presidents of the Rebekahs conducted the Rebekah ritual at the grave. They were Mrs. C. L. Shively of Salida, who acted as noble grand; Mrs. Lonaker of Canon City, vice-grand and Mrs. Sarah Waldo of Canon City, chaplain. The managers of the board of Odd Fellows Home, of which she was a member, acted as pall-bearers. Mrs. Williams was widely known throughout Colorado. She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Miss Vera Williams, and a son serving in France. She is also survived by three brothers and a sister. Two brothers and the sister were at the funeral.
