Kermit Preston McDaniel, 72, of Groves, brother of Eula Simmons of Evadale, died August 2, 1988, at St. Mary Hospital.
Funeral services were held August 3, at Levingston Funeral Home with a graveside service at Kirbyville Cemetery.
A native of Hemphill, he lived in Groves 51 years and was a retired operator at Gulf Oil with 37 years of service.
Other survivors include his wife, Katheryn Whitehead McDaniel of Groves; daughter, Lynda McDaniel Thiede of Baton Rouge, LA,; and sister, Effie Berryman of Jasper.
