Cookeville- Funeral services for L.A. Chaffin, 74, of Cookeville will be Monday, February 5, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Crest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Chaffin died Saturday, Feb. 3, 1990 in Cookeville General Hospital.
He was a retired watch repairman for Borden’s Jewelry, and a veteran of WWII and a member of Northeast Church of Christ.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Columbus and Vona Fox Chaffin.
His family includes his wife, Daffo Chaffin of Cookeville and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends after 1 p.m. today.
Pallbearers include Oliver Anderson, Aaron Fox, Troyce Cavender, Richmond Roberts, Wendell Meadows, David Chaffin, Joe Ed Pippin, and Albert Roberts.
Malcolm Hill and Paul Wilmoth will officiate at the services.
