ALGOOD- Funeral Services for Paul Goolsby, 84, of Algood will be held Friday, February 25, at 1 p.m. in the Algood chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home. Burial will be in Algood Cemetery.

Mr. Goolsby died Wednesday, February 23, 1994, in Cookeville General Hospital.

A native of Putnam County born June 30, 1909, he was the son of the late Frank Lynn and Laura Davis Goolsby.

He was a self-employed merchant.

His family includes one daughter, Luanne Goolsby Williams of Algood; one son, Lynn Goolsby of Algood; One sister, Ruth Evans of Carthage, and three grandchildren, Marla Williams and Lynn and Mark Goolsby.

Memorial contributions may be made to Algood Methodist Church.

Active pallbearers will be Jack Reeve, David Francis, Leo DePriest, Mike and David Goolsby, Curt Hawkins and Sam and Roy Gibbons. Honorary pallbearers will be Cordell Stockton, David Norris, James Heard, Bill Buck, Juan Chapman, L.O. Jackson, Clark Meadows, Tim Pippin, Charles Draper, and Will Henry, Tom, Pate, Frank, Charles, Pat, and Zeb Hill Pointer.

The Family will receive friends after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Rev. Susan Gardner will officiate at the services.
