The gentle spirit of a highly esteemed and widely known citizen, Mrs. A. L. Beegle, wife of one of the city's prominent business men, wholly unexpectedly even to members of the family as well as her numerous friends, passed quietly away at 10:45 o'clock last night of heart failure resulting from complications from which she had patiently suffered for about two years.

The deceased was born at Lena, Ill., December 17, 1862, and joined in marriage with A. L. Beegle September 22, 1886, at Sedalia, Mo.

In 1892 Mr. and Mrs. Beegle located in Grand Island and have resided here continuously ever since. A devoted wife and model mother in its best sense. Mrs. Beegle found chief delight in the pursuit of her domestic duties and the comfort and oversight of her children who happily responded to the mother's wholesome influence.

Deceased was confirmed at the altar of the Lutheran church in early youth and was a faithful and cherished member of St. Paul's English church of this city during the twenty-five years of her residence here.

Aside from her husband, two daughters and four sons survive the mother: Mrs. S. P. Schaeffer, Altona, Pa.; and Miss Fay, Clifford, Austin, Albert and Harry at home. She is also survived by two brothers and a sister in Oklahoma; and three sisters respectively in Minneapolis, Minn., LaFayette, Ind., and Buchanan, Va.

The funeral service will be conducted by the pastor, L. L. Lipe, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, 904 West First street. Friends are kindly requested to omit floral tributes. Friends desiring may view the remains Sunday morning from 10 to 11 o'clock
