Marguerite Gast Carter died on January 19, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospice in Tucson, Arizona. She was born on June 1917 in LaSalle County, Illinois.

Mrs. Carter was an elementary school teacher and a secretary for a geological team. She was a member of the Catalina United Methodist Church in Tucson and a member of the Stephen Ministry. She belonged to the Shrine, Demolay Mothers in the Davis Monathan Chapter, Eastern Star and the Ladies of the Nile.

She attended Pleasant View Lutheran College in Ottawa, Illinois and North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. In her marriage to Robert Schuster they had two sons, Robert and Ronald.

She is survived by her son Robert, her sisters Marian Shoger of Oswego, Illinois and Barbara (Walter) Hack of Columbus, Ohio, a cousin Delta Smith of Cummings, Georgia, nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.

Preceding her in death was her son Ronald, husbands Robert Schuster, John Carter, her parents Walter and Marie Gast, sisters Helen Cadwell and Dorothy Place.

The memorial service will be held at the Catalina United Methodist Church in Tucson on Sunday, February 19, 2005 at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at the church. Burial will be in Rose Garden.
