COOKEVILLE- Funeral Services for Nellie B. Chaffin, 74, of Cookeville will be held Firday, July 8, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Chaffin died Tuesday, July 5, 1994, in Cookeville Health Care Center.
Born in Jackson County on May 7, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Jere Marr and Celina Ethel Pippin Burgess.
She was a homemaker and a member of Sycamore Church of Christ.
Her family includes one son, David Lee Chaffin of Charlotte, North Carolina; one daughter, Bettye Bowman of Cookeville; three brothers, Haskel, Edward, and Willard Burgess, all of Cookeville; two sisters, Maggie Birdwell of Gainesboro and Edith Goodwin of Cookeville; and six Grandchildren, Greg, Mike, Julie and Tammy Goolsby and Jim and Chris Chaffin.
The Family is receiving friends today at the funeral Home.
Bro. Johnny Fox will officiate at the services.
