WALTER L. STOTTLEMYER, retired farmer, died early on Tuesday at his home near Wolfsville. While Mr. Stottlemyer, who was 82 years of age, had been in failing health for some time, his death was sudden.
He was a son of the late Frederick and Louise Schildknecht Stottlemyer and lived his entire life in the Wolfsville community, he was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran church, Wolfsville.
Surviving are four children, Ivan, near Wolfsville; Calvert, Hagerstown; Naomi, at home; and Mrs. Paul Warrenfeltz, Wolfsville; 26 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one brother, Rufus, Hagerstown.
The body rests at the Myersville funeral home where friends may call. Services will be in St. Mark's church Thursday at 2.30 p.m. (dst) with interment in the adjoining cemetery. Paul F. Bittle funeral director.
