Florence Simpson passed away on February 3, 2013 at Bridgeview Estates, Twin Falls, ID.

Florence was born August 4, 1925 in Marion County (Prairie), AR to John and Lydia Strain. When Mama was 10 years of age the family moved to the Eden, ID area and Idaho became her permanent home.

On March 10, 1946 Florence married Truman Simpson. They made their home in various communities, but in 1954 they moved to Murtaugh and worked with Edwin Brune and family until moving to Hazelton, ID in 1976. Three children were born to Truman and Florence: Leona, Danny and Sheila.

Mama worked at Ore Ida Foods from 1960 to 1987; and child care the last few years of her working career.

Mama is survived by her daughters, Leona (Denny) Space and Sheila Fitzpatrick; grandchildren, Dana Space, Kristy Attebury and Jason (Mary) Fitzpatrick; great-grandchildren, Rebecca (Floyd) Carothers-Cody, Elizabeth Attebury, Jeffrey Attebury, Kyle Austin, and Sammaria Fitzpatrick; great-great-grandchild, Devyn Carothers; and sister, Hilda Lewis, of Clarkridge, AR.

Mom is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Danny; her special stepfather. Chester Roice; four brothers: Richard, Henry, Leroy and Otis; three sisters: Katie, Ava Shoup, and Grace Roice; and numerous nieces and nephews whom were very special to her.

Florence was a member of the Church of Christ. Mama was a good and caring mom; and the greatest Nana. She loved her family with all of her heart and being. Mama loved God and was welcoming going to him.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support during Mama's illness. The family also thanks Bridgeview Estates and staff, and Hospice Visions for their care.

Funeral Services for Mama will be held Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 2:00pm at White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park" and are under the direction of Lance Cox and staff. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls.
