David M. Bailey died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. M. Hammer, 804, McCormick St. Wichita, Kansas, after an illness of thirty days, aged 66 years, two months and 20 days. His wife Caroline J. Bailey preceded him in death April 19, 1913, aged 51 years. To their union were born eight children, seven of whom survive him, C. E. Bailey of Ponca City, Okla., Roy C. Bailey of Enid, Okla., Bert E. Bailey of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Ed Robinson of Golden B.C., Mrs. Don Williamson of Ames, Okla., Mrs. C. M. Hammers of Wichita, Kans., and Mrs. Frank Shelton of Dixon, Mo. He is also survived by one twin brother, George, of Hennessey, Okla. and four sisters, Mrs. Emma Woods, Los Angeles, Cal., Mrs. Tom Hutchinson, of Guthrie, Okla., Mrs. Susan McAdams, of Blackwell, Okla. and Mrs. Maggie McCaleb, of Lacy, Okla., also twenty-five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mr. Bailey moved from Guthrie, Okla., a number of years ago with his family residing near Ames, Okla., from which place he later moved to Enid. About ten years ago he located at Hennessey, Okla., where he resided until his death. He became a Christian in his early youth uniting with the Christian Church in which faith he lived until he was called home to meet his Lord. He was a member of the Christian Church at Hennessey at the time of his death.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday Afternoon, July 18th from the Christian church at Ames by E. F. Gasaway of Fairview, and the body laid to rest by the side of that of his wife in the Ames Cemetery.
