Mr. Adams graduated from Minden High School in 1954 and was a graduate of Northwestern University at Natchitoches. He was preceded in death by his parents Russell Tyler Adams (1899-1969) and Opal Baucum Adams(1906 - 1983), beside whom he was interred after a lengthy illness.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mrs. Bette Sue Lee Adams; his son Kevin Tyler Adams of Myrtle Beach, North Carolina; daughter Kim Adams Salinas, Husband Reuben Salinas and one grandson Damon Salinas all of Houston, Texas. He is survived by one brother, Russell Adams and wife Mary L. Adams of Minden.

Billy Don's ashes were returned to Minden, La in January, 2000. He was first married to Judy Rabb and had two children, a daughter, Kim, and a grandson, Damian. He also had a son, Kevin, who was stationed in the Air Force in 1995.

His monuments reads: Billy Don Adams 29 Dec. 1936 - 22 Mar. 1997 PFC US Marine.


Interment was in Row 10, Section 1, Garden of Faith section of the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Minden, La.
