FROSTBURG - Edna (Carey) Knepp Rollo, 87, of Longstretch, Frostburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville.

Born June 22, 1925, at home, on Longstretch, Garrett County, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Rose Ann (Smith) Carey. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Roy W. Knepp, in 1989; her second husband, Frank Rollo; two brothers, Harry and Lawrence Carey and three sisters, Grace Braskey, Alice Bevans and Mary Moffatt.

Edna was a 1942 graduate from Grantsville High School and earned a certificate from Catherman's Business School. She had been employed at the Celanese Fibers Plant and retired from the Frostburg Community Hospital as office manager. She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Mt. Zion's Sunday school and United Methodist Women of Mt. Zion on Longstretch Rt. 40. She was also a member of the Grantsville Senior Citizens Center and two area bowling teams for many years.

Edna and her first husband Roy spent many winters in Bonita Springs, Fla. She enjoyed dancing, craft designing, playing bingo and sharing time with fellow seniors. Edna was a homemaker and a fine cook, all of her years.

She is survived by a daughter, Carol Ann (Knepp) Bowen and husband William, of Long-stretch, Frostburg; a son, Terry Lee Knepp and wife Laura, of Baldwin; a brother, James Carey, of Longstretch, Frostburg; two sisters, Gladys Garlitz, of Hagerstown and Clara Swauger, of Carmichaels, Pa.; two grandchildren, Nicole (Knepp) Shepherd and husband James and Valerie Knepp; one great-grandchild, Nathanial J. Shepherd; there are many nieces and nephews to whom Edna was a very special aunt.

Friends and family will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Daniel Agnew officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.

Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
