WWII Vet.
Hubert A. "Tom" Lang, 79, widower of Wilma Whitman Lang, 2860 Buffalo-West Springs Highway, Buffalo, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005 at Wallace Thomson Hospital after a brief illness.
Mr. Lang was born in Brooksville, Fla., Sept. 30, 1925, a son of the late Edwin and Clarice Brown Lang. He was retired from Jackson Product, Tampa, Fla., and after moving to Union had worked with the Holcombe Cemeteries, Inc. Mr. Lang was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II and was a former auxiliary deputy sheriff with the Pasco County, Fla., sheriff 's dept. He was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Buffalo.
Surviving are a daughter, Shelia Cook and husband the Rev. Rick Cook of Buffalo; two sons, Jerry Jackson and wife Debbie of New Port Richey, Fla. and Randy Lang and wife Betty of Land O'Lakes, Fla.; one brother, Richard Lang of Brooksville, Fla.; seven grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Ricky Cook. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens with military honors.
Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Cook, Timmy Cook, Randy Cook, Billy Cook Chuck Poole and Rocky Devoe.
