CHARLES CURTIS GILFILEN, 86, of 301 Rhoda St., Hurricane, widower of Mrs. Ermie Gilfilen, and a retired meterman for Union Oil and Gas Co., died Saturday in a Huntington hospital. Area survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Naomi Sowards of Hurricane, Mrs. Opal Jones of Huntington, and Mrs. Frances Mallot of Nitro, and four sons, Arnold A. Gilfilen of Noama, and Carl, Harvey and Donzie Gilfilen, all Hurricane. Funeral at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Adda Baptist Church, Hurricane; burial in Holley Cemetery, Big Hurricane Creek Road, Hurricane. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Chapman's Funeral Home, Teays Valley.
