Anna Maude Freeze was born in July, 1889, in Thurmont, Frederick County, Maryland, daughter of William Jacob and Nellie Johanna Diehl Freeze. She was the granddaughter of Michael and Susanna Wetzel Freeze. On June 2, 1923, in Baltimore, Maryland, she married Frank Sinclair Crossley, son of Clifford Matheys and Adelaide H. Wallazz Crossley. They were the parents of one son, David Clifford Crossley. Anna passed away on January 19, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was buried on the 23rd in Weller's Church Cemetery, Thurmont.

"Crossley---Freeze. Miss Anna Maude Freeze, of Baltimore, formerly of Thurmont, and Frank S. Crossley, also of Baltimore, were married Saturday, June 2, at the Concordia Lutheran parsonage, West Franklin Street, Baltimore, by the pastor of Concordia Church, Rev. P. H. Miller, D. D. After a short visit in the country, Mr. and Mrs. Crossley will reside in Baltimore."

"Mrs. Frank Crossley. Mrs. Anna Maude Crossley, wife of Frank Crossley, and a former resident of Thurmont, died suddenly Wednesday night in Philadelphia. She was a daughter of the late William J. and Nellie Diehl Freeze, of Thurmont, and is survived by her husband, one son, David Crossley; one sister, Miss Susie Freeze, Thurmont, and two brothers, John and Howard Freeze, Thurmont. The body will arrive in Thurmont Saturday. It will be taken to the funeral home where friends may call after noon. Funeral services will be held there Monday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. Charles H. Corbett will officiate. Interment inBlue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont. M. L. Creager and Son, funeral directors."

Corbett officiating. Many beautiful floral tributes were presented. Pallbearers were Rudolph Eyler, Howard Damuth, Louis Jones, Guy Hobbs, Saylor Weybright, Paul F. Bittle. Interment in U. B. Cemetery. M. L. Creager and Son, funeral director."
