JOHN W. HEINEY, MACK SUPERVISOR, DIES AT 55
John W. Heiney, a vetean in the development of trucks and buses and one of the supervisory employes of the Mack Mfg. Co., died yesterday at the Sacred Heart Hospital. Death was attributed to paralyzing of the respiratory tract. He was 55 years old.

Mr. Heiney, who lived at 1628 Union St. with his wife and two daughters, entered the hospital yesterday morning for a throat operation. He died at 12:45 p.m.

He had been employed at the Mack plant for 36 years and was the mechanical engineer in charge of new development. C. J. Moran, general superintendent of the plant, said last night that his death is a great loss to the company. He had had a voice in the changes made in the prime movers and other vehicles now being used by the Army in the war effort.

Born in Northampton county, Mr. Heiney was a son of Cyrus Heiney, now living in Allentown, and the late Mary Alice (Esch) Heiney.

His widow, Lillian D. (Pohl) Heiney, his two daughters, Dorothy and Ruth, both at home, and two brothers, Clayton and Clarence, both of Allentown, survive.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the J. S. Burkholder funeral home, 1601 Hamilton St. Burial will be made in Grandview cemetery.
