Jones, Anna Marjorie Ansley, age 82, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of the Lord April 19, 2011 after an 11-year battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Margie was born May 16, 1928, in Gainesville, TX, the fifth of eight children born to Leo and Bessie Ansley. She moved with her family to Frederick, OK during WW II and graduated from Frederick High School. After junior college she began work with Southwestern Bell, first as an operator and then was promoted to the business office as a business administrator. She transferred to Texas City, TX where she met her husband, Clarence E. "Buck" Jones, DVM. They were married February 28, 1953. Together they raised a son and two daughters in a wonderful, loving home. Margie embraced her life as a loving wife and mother. She worked side by side with Buck in his veterinary practice at Lake Highlands Animal Clinic as a surgical nurse, receptionist and bookkeeper. She had an insatiable quest for knowledge and was a voracious reader, a trait she passed on to her children. Margie was an accomplished artist who excelled at china painting, trompe l'oeil and cake decorating. She was an avid gardener whose floral designs gave her and her family great joy. She handled her debilitating battle against cancer with incredible courage, tenacity and humor. To aid in her fight, she enrolled in exercise classes at the CVC at Presbyterian Hospital and made many new, dear friends who gave her great joy. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Buck, son John, daughters JoAnne Miller and Sara George; sons-in-law Craig Miller and David George, four grandchildren Ansley, Austin and Kelsey Miller and Scarlett George; sister Phyllis Griffin of Denton, brother William Ansley of Garland, and several nieces and nephews. While our hearts are filled with sorrow at Margie's passing, we are overjoyed that her pain is finished and she is in heaven with her Father. The family would like to thank Lalan Wilfong, M.D, his nurse Sylvia Morris, Tammy Johnson and the staff at Texas Oncology for their incredible care as well as the amazing kindness and care provided by Faith Presbyterian Hospice. A memorial service will be held Saturday April 30th at 3 PM in Wesley Chapel at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, 9200 Inwood Rd, Dallas, with a reception to follow. Memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
