Reva Jean Morgan Boedeker was born April 27, 1941 in Enid to Oscar and Thelma (Gray) Morgan. She passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center.

She attended several area schools and graduated from Enid High. After graduation, she worked for Herzberg Department Store as a sales associate. She then worked for Champlin Refinery offices. She had several other jobs that she enjoyed and eventually retired from JCPenney's.

Jean was a loving wife, mother, "Meme", sister and friend. She had an ornery side to her, running on the road and meeting so many cowgirls and cowboys that are very dear friends. ‘Mean Jean' will be missed dearly by many rodeo friends. She was always there for her grandchildren, whether it be for basketball, softball/baseball or those freezing cold stock shows where she would be there proudly cheering. She would always have pictures and be telling the world about how proud she was of her grandchildren's accomplishments. Her encouragement and wise words will be missed, but will be carried on by her grandchildren.

Her husband, John Boedeker, whom she married July 22, 1967, survives Jean. Together, they had one son, Jeff, of Waukomis. Jeff's wife, Dede, daughters, Jalyn and Caisha and son, Jack also survive "Meme". She is survived by two brothers, Buford Morgan and wife, Phyllis of Enid; Jerry Morgan of Fairview; sister, Aletha Craig and husband, Eldon of Enid, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean's funeral service will be 2:00pm Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Waukomis Christian Church with Pastor Dave Jones officiating. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service in Waukomis Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers and plants, the family requests donations be made through the funeral home to American Diabetic Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 or the Harold Hamm Oklahoma Diabetes Center, 1100 N. Lincoln Blvd., #1000, OKC, OK 73104.
