Leora C. Benton, 89, formerly of 1248 Washington St., Jefferson, died Friday, April 9, 1999.
A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Benton was a daughter of the late W.T. and Jesse Cruce and was the widow of Harold Benton. She was a homemaker and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Faith Baptist Church, with the Revs. Gerald Mitton and Eric Shelton officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Green, Alpharetta; three sons, Larry Benton and Roger Benton, both of Jefferson, and Jimmy Benton, Commerce; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Duane Garrett, John Winkler, Bob Garrett, William Kinney, Jake Murphy and Tim Garrett.
Evans Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
