Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Moore, 89, died at the home of her son, Dr. R. C. Moore, near Louisa at 5:30 a.m. on Jan 18 after an illness of 11 years. Mrs. Moore, who was born near Blaine, had been a resident of Lousia for 25 years. She was a nurse at Riverview hospital here for 25 years. A member of the First Methodist church, Mrs. Moore was also a member of the Blaine Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland J. Moore, who died in 1908. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan 21 at 1 p.m. at the First Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. W.W. Moore, the Rev. E. P. Swann and the Rev. L. S. Alley. Burial was in the Alley Cemetery under the direction of Young Funeral Home. She is survived by a son, Dr. R. C. Moore, Louisa; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mollie Ball, Adams, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Felix, Skaggs, Lonzo Arrington, W. H. Moore, Cleve Daniels, Johnny Meade and J. L. Moore.
