Edvin Cecil Abramson, 88, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at ECM Hospital, after an extended illness. He was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County and a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be from 1-2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, with the funeral services following at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Lancaster will officiate.
Mr. Abramson was preceded in death by his parents, John Richard and Rose Cagle Abramson; sons, Charles and Johnny Abramson; and stepson, Frank Muse.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Moore Abramson; daughter, Roselyn Carriveau and husband, Jerry; sister, Louise Hill; grandchildren, Sherry Spruell and husband, Wayne, Jerod Carriveau, Jessica Colyer and husband, Thomas; and several stepgrandchildren; great-grandchildren, Emma Rose Colyer, Edvin Allen Jeffrey Colyer; and several step great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
