Although Sarah or "Granny Timms" as she was affectionately known claimed she was well over 100 years of age when she died, this "fact" that she was born on Aug. 21, 1856 does not stand up to scrutiny. In the 1880 census, she shows up as an infant. In the 1900 census, she stated that she was born in September 1879.
