Ernest was the son of Estel and Jane (Miller) Evans.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alberta Virginia (Stidd) Evans; two sons, Alan and Steven Evans; three daughters, Linda Hinkle, Brenda Jean and Diana June Evans; one sister, Janet Branam; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was prededed in death by his parents; one brother, Richard Evans; one granddaughter, Victoria Elizabeth Brooks; and one great-grandchild.
