Chronicle-Telegram 3/24/2007: Wilbur W. Wayman, 89, of Elyria, formerlyof Lorain died Thursday, March 22, 2007, at the Wesleyan Village in Elyria after a brief illness. Mr. Wayman was born in Pittsburgh, Pa on September 12, 1917, moving to Lorain in 1947. He was a 1935 graduate of Brookline High School in PA. He was a veteran of the Army Air Force. He served during WWII and was a staff sergeant. /P/ He reitred from US Steel in 1980 as an electrician following 32 years of service. He was a member of the Delaware Ave United Methodist Church in Lorain. He enjoyed woodworking, especially wooden toys and gardening. He was a member of the Lorain American Legion Post 30. /P/ Mr. Wyman is survived by his wife of 17 years, Lenore (nee Eastin) Wayman of Elyria, sons, Allen W. Wayman of Lorain, Gregory W. Wayman of South Amherst; four grandchildren and two great-grandsons. /P/ He was preceded in death by his first wife of 48 years, Elmyra (nee Haynes) Wayman who died on May 26, 1987, his parents Thomas and Jeanette (Littel) Wayman and two brothers Tom and Dave. /P/ Friends may call on Monday, March 26, 2007 from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio where funeral services will be at 10 A.M. Tuesday with John Ferris, pastor of the Delaware Avenue United Methodist Church, officiating. /P/ Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, with full military honors provided jointly by the American Legion Post 30 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 451. /P/ The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Wesleyan Village, 807 West Street Elmira, Ohio 44035.
