Cambria - Kathleen "Kay" Geistdorfer, 86, of Cambria, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale. Visitation will begin after 11:00 a.m., Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville. Gravesides services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Oakwood Cemetery in Carterville, with the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Cambria. Kay was born September 20, 1926, in Carterville to Wilbur and Nell (Mattingly) Berry. She married Fred Geistdorfer on October 27, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri; he preceded her in death on May 1, 1978. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Audie Ridgeway of McHenry, Ill.; grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Evyette Ridgeway of Crystal Lake, Ill., Kevin Ridgeway of McHenry, Ill., Audie Lee Ridgeway of McHenry, Ill., and Audra Kay and Paul Baca of Twin Lakes, Wisc.; great-grandchildren, Angel Ridgeway and Devin Baca; and brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Mary Berry of Mt. Vernon. Kay was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Glenn Berry; and sister, Barbara Harris. She was a bank teller at the Bank of Herrin for over twenty-two years. Kay was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cambria, where she had served as secretary and treasurer. She enjoyed reading.
