Edna Knifley, 84, of Gowdy Street, Campbellsville, died at 1:34 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20, 1997 in Campbellsville due to an illness. Daughter of the late Lee Campbell and Bertha Crawley Campbell, she was born in Taylor County, Ky., on Dec. 7, 1912, and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church. She was married to Ray Knifley in 1932, who survives. Besides her husband, Knifley is survived by one daughter and one son and daughter-in-law, Julia Knifley of Campbellsville and Welby Ray and Thelma Knifley of Glasgow; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law and one granddaughter, Gregory and Joy Knifley of Pikeville and Ella Knifley of Glasgow; two sisters, Bonnie Nordby of Campbellsville and Kizzie Mahan of Virginia; several other relatives and many friends. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Crawley Campbell. Funeral was at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 22 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Dr. Paul W. Patton. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
