Darlington- James Bridgman died at his home in Lamont early Wednesday morning. He was born in Cherry Valley, Ohio, in 1846, coming to Wisconsin when seven years of age. He was one of the earliest settlers in the vicinity, having lived on the farm in Lamont for 73 years. He was an uncle of Professor B.W. Bridgman of the University of Wisconsin, and of Will Bridgman, editor of the Stanley Republican.
He was unmarried. Funeral services will be conducted from the home Friday, the Rev. James Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove in this city.
