Funeral is 3 p.m. Sunday at McLean-Bumgardner Twin Oaks Chapel, Belmont. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont. Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
A native of Honea Path, SC, he was the son of the late Lee Olin Johnson Sr., and was an Air Force veteran. He was employed in the quaility control department at Qualex Photofinishing in Charlotte for over 12 years. He was a member of the Pineville Church of the Nazerene and attended Trinity Church of the Nazerene.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Wall Johnson; mother, Elizabeth Cabe Johnson of Charlotte; four sons, David Lee Johnson of Charlotte, Roy Earl Johnson of Charlotte, David Wayne Johnson of Richburg, SC, and Cliff Johnson of Ft. Mill, SC; three daughters, Cynthia C. Hopson of Charlotte, Leisa Johnson of Cornelius, and Mandy Johnson of Charlotte; two sisters, Lurlene Misenheimer of Charlotte and Mary E. Maloy of Charlotte; and eight grandchildren, Bo Locklear of Ft. Mill, SC, Jeffrey Johnson of Fairfield, SC, Meagan Locklear of Ft. Mill, SC, Bridget Leigh of Ocean Isle, NC, Joanna Hopson of Charlotte, Chase Johnson of Ft. Mill, SC, Scott Carpenter of Charlotte and Dalton Lipe of Charlotte.
