Kevin arrived in Vietnam 26 September 1967 and was assigned to Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. While participating in Operation Night Owl, Echo Company was operating in the vicinity of Nhi Ha, 7 kilometers north of the Cua Viet River when they encountered hostile forces.
Kevin died as a result of multiple fragmentation wounds to the head and body from a hostile explosive device.
Survived by his parents, Russell E and Patricia M Beauchamp, and his 2 brothers; Mark and Edward and his 4 sisters; Nancy, Kimberly, Jane and Pamela all of 3061 Riverland Road, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
