Patrick H. Greer is Alonzo Greer's youngest brother. Alonzo named his youngest child "Young Henry Greer" (1878-1943) creating the confusion of two children by the same name in the same family, because Patrick named his youngest child "Young Henry Greer" (1871) also. Patrick's son, Young Henry, is shown on the 1880 Hill County, Texas census as Henry.
Patrick was a Corporal in Co. K of the 12th Mississippi Cavalary. He is buried in the Zollicoffer Family Cemetery which is located about 1 1/2 mile west of Irene, Hill County, Texas. The cemetery is located in a pasture and behind a locked gate and enclosed within a wrought iron fence. The cemetery is adjacent to an old house which probably was the old Zollicoffer home place. The house was still standing on July 31, 2001. The house and cemetery are located on the south side of a detention dam approximately one mile off the farm to market road that goes from Irene to Bynum.
