FUNERAL HELD AT KOOSHAREM FOR FORMER RESIDENT

Impressive funeral services were held Wednesday in the Koosharem hall for Mrs. JULIETTA HANCOCK CHRISTENSEN, 74, who died at Meadow, following a lingering illness caused by ailments incident to age.

Bishop E.C. Bagley presided at the services. A quartet composed of J.F. DeLange, ELlis Bagley, Mrs. Orson Bagley and Mrs. FLoyd Roberts sang "Oh, My Father", and "Come Unto Jesus", and "I know My Redeemer Lives". A solo, "Face to Face" was sung by George L. Bushnell, and Mrs. Floyd Roberts sang "That's What God Made Mothers For". Speakers were O.H. Anderson, J.F. DeLange and Bishop Bagley of Koosharem, John A. Beckstrand and Bishop J. Leo Stott of Meadow. The invocation was by Wm. Brown; the benediction by Sorn Sorenson. Cecil Fisher of Meadow dedicated the grave, interment being in the Koosharem Cemetery.

Grandchildren carried the many beautiful flowwers. Pallbearers were Ervin and Elmer Christensen of Koosharem, Frank Hancock and Glee Manwill of Payson, Melvin Christensen and Arlon Beckstrand of Meadow.
Mrs. Christensen was born at Payson January 18, 1862, a daughter of Benjamin and Patsy Ann Waters Hancock. She was married to John Christensen in the St. George Temple in 1880. Since that time she had been a resident of Koosharem until moving to Meadow four years ago. Her husband, one of the first settlers of Grass Valley, died ten years ago. Surviving are five of their ten children, Mrs. James Lund of Garfield, Horace Christensen of Santa Monica, California, Melvin Christensen, Mrs. LaRell Beckstrand and Mrs. Arlon Beckstrand of Meadow. Ten grandchildren survive.
