OLIVE WALRACK LAID TO REST:
The remains of Olive Walrack who died at Chippewa Falls, arrived here Saturday evening and were rested at Saether's until Sunday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock when the body was laid to rest with her parents in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Father Carrigg celebrated the requiem high mass for the deceased Saturday morning, and on Sunday but a brief service was held at the grave. The funeral was private. Pall bearers were: John Haldiman, John Farmer, John and S. L. Ryan, Harold Jaegers and Harvey Mason.
One of this life's unfortunate ones, having been afflicted both physically and mentally, she had always the deepest sympathy of all, and the same sympathy is called forth by her death as was In evidence during her life.
Katherine Olive Walrack, the only child of Leonard and Anne Satterlee Walragk, was born in this village Dec. 12th, 1897, and passed away Thursday, Jan. 17th, 1924, having attained the age of twenty-six years. All of her life except the last few years was spent here. Dec. 23rd, 1917, the Grim Reaper deprived the unfortunate girl of a mother's care. The father followed the mother to the Great Beyond on Dec. 3rd, 1922. For a couple of years following her mother's death, she was cared for by her mother's sister, Mrs. M. Hazelton. She spent some time with relatives at Angus and about two years ago was taken to a Home at Chippewa Falls where she remained until her God called her home. She was ill with scarlet fever for about two weeks preceding her death.
The last of her immediate family, she is survived by the following aunts and uncles who have been especially near to her in recent years. Mrs. M. Hazleton, Seymour; Thos. Satterlee, Freeport; John Satterlee of Gratiot; Jim Satterlee of Los Angeles; Geo. Walrack, Blanchardville; John, Ed and Peter Walrack, Rice Lake; Mrs. Geo. Gould and Miss Theresa Walrack, Angus; and William Walrack of Madison.
The deceased was a member of the Immaculate Conception church of this place to which she was deeply devoted.
