Ruth Boyer, 89, died Saturday (Feb. 2, 2013) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County, Illinois.

She was born on April 8, 1923 in Mattoon, Illinois to the late Arthur Lee and Nellie Harshbarger Ambler. She married Forrest A. Boyer on April 6, 1946 in Champaign, Illinois. He passed away on August 26, 2005. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Glenn Ambler and a sister, Frances Fonner.

She is survived by her daughter, Randa (Michael) Conroy; a brother, Ralph (Sue) Ambler; a sister, Janet Miller and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
