Willie Mae Winters

HAMBY - Willie Mae Winters, 79, died Tuesday at her home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the North's Funeral Home Chapel, 4002 Buffalo Gap Road in Abilene, with the Revs. Bob Green and Delton Fisher officiating. Burial will be in the Stith Cemetery.

The body will be at the funeral home's 242 Hickory location until Friday morning.

Born in Jones County, she lived in the Stith Community and moved to Abilene in 1944.

She attended North Texas State for two years, worked at the Mack Eplen Bakery for more than 15 years before retiring in 1975.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Janis (Mrs. Robert) Lang of Hamby and Shirley Ivey of Eula; two sons, Don Winters of Buffalo Gap and Max Winters of Euless; a brother, Howard Reddin of Abilene; a sister, Oleta James of Abilene; a step-sister, Pauline Keys of Abilene; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
